Like many of you, I have had many transitions and transformative life experiences. In 2004, I was in a bus accident in Thailand. I had many broken and fractured bones when I was already feeling lost mentally on a two-year long trip. The dark challenges of this difficult period are some of the richest teachings I have received and the philosophy that has influenced my personality.
Here are some big download/assimilations from that time: “I am not the body.” “I am worthy of love even if I can’t do anything.” I needed a radical update from whom I have been identifying myself as for most of 25 years previous to that time.
In 2004, I enrolled in and completed a yoga teacher training and Thai Massage and Shiatsu practitioner certification. I then founded Yin Yogi, which I still operate and offer services through with great joy.
Moving from Montreal to a rural community in the beautiful Kootenays was also a significant life shift in 2007, but nothing like becoming a mother in 2011 and learning to live a balanced life as a family.
Those personal life experiences and transformations, combined with three months of an Ashram based development course in 2009, and offering many group workshops for self-development in diverse settings, have equipped me to support others in significant life transitions and provide daily support in juggling the demands of living a balanced life.
